Skin pampering time!
It’s time for that beautiful skin. Come check out the quite recently opened Estelle Cosmetique Aesthetic situated at Dataran Mentari, Sunway. It is operated by the aesthetician that I have always personally requested for whenever I go for facial even before the establishment of Estelle Cosmetique Aesthetics. And I have been acquiring her professional service for years.
You can also find Infracyte products here. As cited from the brochure, it is a skin transformation program that helps to increase tolerance to environmental factors and diminish the visible signs of aging. Meticulously and scientifically blended by laboratories in the United States, Infracyte gives you quality products.
Let me just quote a bit from the brochure itself for some product knowledge;
“The Infracyte Transformation Program works by penetrating deep into the skin to stimulate new cell growth, improve circulation and help rebuild collagen so your skin becomes young again. It has been proven effective in treating men and women – especially Asians – of all ages, skin tyoes and color. The program is specially designed to correct common skin problems.”
Interesting kan?

Don’t Leave Shit Behind
December 6, 2009
Warning: Content may not be suitable if one is imaginative while reading (but imagining should make one comprehends better).
It is human nature. The bigger ‘investment’ that requires one to spend more time in the restroom (besides showering) can occur at any time of the day. Some maybe after eating; be it breakfast or lunch or after snacking while some go for a good morning package that comes together while getting ready before starting with other activities of the day. The nature call times may vary.
I think personal hygiene is extremely a crucial aspect of every individual that should be really taken care of. It is part of personality. At a larger scale, it also reflects the attitude of a nation as a whole. The propensity to give extra care on rudiments that contribute more to appearance is likely greater. Like using shampoo and conditioner for hair to look clean and good for example. Nevertheless, other cleaning stuff at other areas (though the cleaning part may not necessarily on our body) that may not be seen or known by anybody else but ourselves, should not mean that they can be taken for granted.
Therefore, if every human being on this earth is conscious of thorough personal hygiene, I’m quite sure the episodes of stumbling upon ‘submarines’ in the toilet bowl are fewer, right? ‘Submarine’ is the term that my friends would refer to ONLY if such brown/black solid waste in the toilet bowl that does not go through when flushing (whatever terms others allude to; it’s the same solid I’m talking about). Yeah, eeeww! But this nauseating toilet incidence must have happened upon others as well, right? And not just once, right? I have come across the ghastly state of affairs couple of times too. Horrifying!
I remember when ISS was sharing her unpleasant experience and how upset was. She went like, “Next time lepas flush tu, tengok la balik! Tu sendiri punye!” Exactly, sendiri punye. That is just the solution to it; after flushing, look back to see whether the shit goes through or not (haha). If it does not go through, flush it again. Which part of that is just so difficult to do? Why need to be selfish by just leaving our own mess behind and let the next person who needs to use the lavatory to see whether the shit is properly flushed or not before the cleaner gets to clean it? Takde otak ke? Pakai pampers la kalau dah malas sangat. Tak pun jangan makan, jangan pergi toilet.
And yes, keep flushing until there is not even the saki-baki or serpihan-serpihan yang tinggal. Trust me, there is just no one pun yang teringin nak tengok what is left in the toilet bowl (It will never be money).
So what if the toilet is broken and one only finds out after doing ‘business’?
Well, too bad then. You just have to clean your shit anyways, dude. It’s yours.
Hm..SOP perhaps?

It’s just something annoying when people just don’t get your name right, isn’t it?
My name is Putri Elasafura and I don’t think my name is long. And since majority of my cousins and cousins’ daughters have the same first name, I am known as Safura by most of my family members and friends (maybe some other names to a few). Indeed it is the name I am comfortable with as this circumstance exists. It used to be the consistent name that I would introduce myself as in any occasion as I believe that is laconic and uncomplicated enough to either enunciate or spell..
…Not!!
I’ve encountered numerous at-least-unpleasant-for-me episodes of ‘I’m Safura’ introduction. Frequent responses would be “Sapura?” or “Saf..how again?”
What is so hard about pronouncing my name?
“Safari” pun ada! That one is ULTIMATELY stupid and so beyond help la kan? Eee..bodohnye!! (Geram!)
Nonetheless, I still establish myself as Safura but only at casual and non-work related meetings or functions. The control mechanism has higher percentage of success in this kind of environment, I think. It is less likely that they will ask for email address to continue communicating with you, thus they will probably want to key in your number. That is where you can really set them right if they get the name wrong should you fail to correct them during the primary introduction. I don’t know lah, I just feel that in a more relaxed situation, there’s just no pressure to betulkan nama if orang lain salah sebut or eja.
As opposed to at work, when one person gets it wrong, he/she will start to send email to you and cc to a few others with your name spelled erroneously and from then on, that is how others will spell your name as well. (There is always address book where one can view every employee’s name in full but maybe that address book appears invisible kot..)
Funny la! Sesuka hati letak nama orang!
So at work, I am known as Putri.
Itu pun ada yang salah!
And by the way, my name is Putri. Not Puteri.
Now this one is few and far between at the office. Sometimes phone calls from the general line come to my extension. So I would pick up and I would say the standard greeting line of the company and subsequently say, “Good morning/afternoon,”
And the person on the other line would reply, “Hello, sape ni?”
Dude! Hello!! You are the one who called me! Sape you la call orang nak tanya like that?
Yes, it is explicable that sometimes we receive phone calls from numbers that we are not familiar with and tend to call back that number as to satisfy our curiosity in finding out who is the caller. But, wouldn’t it be more polite to at least introduce ourselves (if it so troublesome to inform that we are just returning call, etc)?
I find it discourteous to be dialing anyone’s number regardless we know that person or not and when he/she answers the phone, the caller just pops out, “Who’s this?”.
Hi, my name is Putri Elasafura. But you can call me J-Lo. =p
Boleh try ni.

Bite the Bullet
September 21, 2009
Supposedly, new roads are built to curtail the traffic congestion and improve the traffic flow. Millions of Ringgit(s) are spent to embark on highway projects, flyovers for the betterment of those who require travelling by means of road. In many cases which I believe, the initiatives have derived to positive outcomes; traffic congestions are reduced slightly if not considerably.
The same attempt with the same goal had been undertaken in SJ. A flyover had been built for the convenience of travellers from SJ to Glenmarie/Subang Airport or vice-versa as this new thoroughfare connects the above-mentioned areas. And presumably I would be happy (Kononnye lah kan since I travel a lot ke arah sana). This project took years to complete and it was hell for the SJrians while it was being carried out. Portholes (yang really sucky, yang kalau pakai gigi palsu memang boleh tercabut la kalau terlanggar) were just everywhere. Not to mention traffic jam. Even before the commencement of this plan, the traffic flow in front of Summit had already been terrible. So, it just got worse. But now, jalan dah bukak, dah boleh pakai dah pun. From my not-so-good-yet-to-be-improved observation skill, there are two SJ exits. One diverts the traffic to SS12 area and one more is right to the Summit’s traffic light (the one that consolidates vehicles from Kesas Highway, USJ and SS area).
In SJ, the root cause of the traffic overcrowding is cars are going in and out of USJ area. Traffic is still alright around the SS area. No congestion at all for that matter. So the idea of actually building a flyover from the main road in between of SS14 and SS13 does not ease the traffic problem because they still have to go through the same heavily jammed route to get to that flyover. Once they are out of the USJ area, traffic is less and they can proceed with their journey straightforwardly. So now, with the existence of this new flyover, during peak hours you can see a long (like looooooong..- go see for yourself and tell me if I’m exaggerating) stretch of cars building up, not only from USJ’s side but also from the flyover’s side! And to add value (may not be a positive value) to that, that side does not only combine the traffic from the flyover but also those from the roundabout too! Hooray!
So maybe they say; Bite the bullet. It’s done.
Something about Raya: Kenapa bila Hari Raya je nak pasang cerita sedih-sedih? I just don’t get it, it’s Raya, a celebration and we are supposed to be happy. Memanglah not all Raya incidences are joyful. But I don’t think pathetically sorrowful dramas help those in despair either.
And people, please stop main mercun. It only takes once for unfortunate event to happen.

Angel is a Significantly Big Word =)
September 13, 2009
It’s just roughly a week for the fasting month to end and Syawal draws closer. Eid ul-Fitr is a glorious celebration for most Muslims after a month of mainly not being able to eat and drink during the day. Tak sabarnye saya nak makan lontong and hopefully my aunt prepares this as one of her scrumptious Raya dishes.
Ramadhan has been good for me although I did not fast a few days. Biasalah, mesti ada hari2 tinggal. I have never been able to fast wholly during Ramadhan since I was 14. It’s also the month that I feel my weight will slightly decrease but ironically this time, it has been an exertion to for me to fit in my jeans =p. Daily routine somewhat changes notably during weekends. You see, I make it a point to drink not less than 1 liter of water during sahur (within 4.30 – 5.30 a.m.). So consequently I will be waking up a couple of times (at least twice) from my sleep to go to the restroom. Thus, when I really have to get up for work, I will be exhausted somehow of which I will truly feel it later part of the day. Pastu mulalah mengantuk. Takpelah, dugaan bulan puasa. Nonetheless it’s manageable. Takdelah sampai tertido or curik2 tido time kerja. In order to recuperate the energy lost, weekend will be a sleeping affair from after sahur till mid day (12p.m. is the most that I can go, later than that causes headache to me). Tido sampai lebam. And I only do this during the fasting month je ok.
And as for the F&B industry primarily, it is believed to be the industry that makes reasonably sound return like what MSM mentioned. Variety of buka puasa deals are extensively promoted. The public’s acceptance has been so encouraging that it becomes a frustration to break fast outside if you do not make reservation or come earlier.
I have had a few buffet buka puasa thus far. And I have come to a conclusion that it is not worth paying so much for buffet buka puasa (those priced above RM50 maybe). From my experiences, all places serve the same thing. Food selection will be like at the Ramadhan bazaar. Mesti-ada menu; roasted lamb, char kuey teow, dim sum, satay, etc. The food is good at some places but others commonly, bolehlah. Bila dah lapar, semua pun sedap. The thing is how much can you eat while breaking fast? Okay, so buffet finishes at 10 0r 10.30p.m. But how many will actually spend time up to three hours just to make what they pay worth what they eat? Yes, even at home, I will also be eating from the time of breaking fast till late night but I will have intervals in between for praying and other stuff. I will eat a lot and it will not even come to RM50. And I was so disappointed to find the absence of my wajib buka puasa food at those places I went; tepung pelita and popia basah. Pegi bazaar lagi best.
Selamat bersahur, berpuasa dan berbuka puasa to all fasting Muslims.
Saya dah bayar fidyah. Leganye.. Don’t ask.
Lepas raya ni kena ganti 12 hari. Memang so tak nak ganti last minute lepas ni.
Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri in advance. Maaf zahir dan batin. Jangan main mercun.
